The pilot in plain language
Effective 2 September 2026 · These terms govern the open VIG play-money pilot at vighouse.app and the installed app. By creating an account you agree to them.
1 · Who can join
- You are 18 or older.
- One account per person. Invite and referral codes, where issued, are personal and may not be sold or posted.
- We may close, reset or refuse any account at any time, including to wipe test data between pilot phases.
2 · What the pilot is
- A simulated risk exchange. Book narratives are illustrative; triggers settle on public third-party data feeds (weather, aviation, price indices, scores) that we do not control and that may be late, wrong or unavailable. A book with missing data settles void.
- Rates, seats, pools, timers and every other mechanic can change without notice while we calibrate.
- Nothing in the pilot is an offer, solicitation, investment, insurance product, wager or financial advice. Any forward-looking figure shown (rolled rates, pace, projections) is arithmetic on assumptions, not a promise.
3 · What you may not do
- Scrape, crawl, poll or otherwise access the service by automated means, or reverse-engineer, copy or reproduce the app, its pricing, book catalog, data feeds or mechanics.
- Circumvent rate limits, tiers, caps or signup controls, or operate multiple accounts.
- Use the service where doing so is unlawful for you.
4 · Ownership
VIG, the VIG mark, "You're the house now", the app, its design, copy, catalog, narratives, mechanics and software are the property of the operator and protected by copyright and other laws. You get a personal, revocable licence to use the app as a pilot participant and nothing more. Feedback you give us may be used freely.
5 · Your data
We store the handle and avatar you choose, your simulated balances and positions, and technical logs needed to run and secure the service. We do not sell personal data. Ask us and we will delete your account and its data.
6 · No warranty, limited liability
The pilot is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the pilot, including from feed errors, downtime, resets or changes to mechanics. Because balances are simulated, there is nothing to reimburse.
7 · Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the effective date above changes when we do. Questions: contact the VIG team through the channel that brought you here.
